Terms and Conditions

ABC Driver Training, will only use  DSA Approved Driving Instructors.  The Instructor will provide the requisite training as per the DSA Syllabus.  ABC Driver Training will allow the use of the training vehicle for the purposes of tuition and taking your practical driving test* providing the following Terms and Conditions are met.

1.        Before tuition commences, pupils must :

·     Have paid the course and exam fees in full. 

·     Produce a valid UK or Northern Ireland full or provisional driving license category  B (car) If a photo card license is held both the plastic license and paper counterpart will need to be produced.  If you have an older paper license, then you will need to have photographic identity such as a current passport or a full time student identity card bearing your photograph

·     Produce a valid Theory Test Certificate (except for pass plus courses)

2.        Pupils must meet the minimum eyesight requirements for drivers.  You must be able to read a number plate with letters 79.4 mm high at a minimum distance of  20.5 metres.  If you wear glasses or contact lenses you  must wear them whenever you drive

3.        In the unlikely event of a practical test not being made available by the DSA. ABC Driver Training will book an appointment at a DSA Test Centre of your choice.  ABC Driver Training will not be held responsible for availability of tests or cancellations by the DSA. Claims for compensation for cancellation should be made to the DSA

4.        Pupils must treat our vehicles with respect and consideration at all times. Any willful or malicious damage must be paid for in full. 

5.        Pupils must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol at any time during training. If there are signs of alcohol or substance misuse, ABC Driver Training will not allow the use of a vehicle for tuition or for a practical driving test until the pupil is in a fit and legal condition to drive.

6.        Pupils must maintain the hotel accommodation in an acceptable condition and must pay for any damages or hotel services on the day of departure.

7.        Any abusive conduct, either physical or verbal, towards instructors, staff, hotel staff or other pupils will not be tolerated.

8.        Any motoring offences committed whilst driving one of our vehicles remain the responsibility of the pupil.

Any breaches of these terms and conditions may result in the immediate termination of the training course with no refund.

 *Should the Pupil fail to reach a satisfactory standard of driving and is likely to be a danger to other road users, or is in an unfit condition through substance or alcohol abuse, the ADI has a responsibility to the DSA examiners not to allow the use of the training vehicle for the purpose of the Driving Test.  This is in the interest of the pupil, the examiner and other road users and is a precautionary safety measure. Driving Standards Agency guidelines do not allow for a pupil to take a practical test just for the experience.
