  hello i would like to tell you how i passed my test;whith A.B.C.driving training;first off' you know when you meet somebody, and they put you at ease straight away, you just know your in good hands,i was a very hard pupil to learn, but at A.B.C.driver training they will not have the word cant, because your at ease you feel a whole lot more confident' this is not to say the course's are easy' because thats why they are called intensive'but believe me do they no what they are doing' [WITHOUT A DOUBT they go above and beyond what they say they can do,when you think your never going to get to a standard of driving,and you just want to pack it in,there at A.B.C.driving they will get you through all of this'how do i know because they got me through all of this and i passed my test' my advice is to listen and dont try to make excuse,s and bullxxxt the obi-wan kenobi who is teaching you' by all means take a look at the other training schools' and see how cheaper they are' but you wont get the same or end result you want'how do i know this because i was in the same hotel as these pupil's who where at other training schools and they where not getting the same personal'patience'fun' and enjoyment that PETER knew at the right time to give you to A.B.C.driver traing i will not forget you's tony hymer

thanks ABC for a very worthwhile 5 day intensive course ! As a nervous driver with around 20 lessons under my belt, but over a year ago, it wasn`t looking good, as i wasn`t a competent driver & didn`t feel as if i would be. But the intensive course, with ABC, allowed me to build my confidence, rather than starting over on each hour long lesson. Peter my instructor was very easy going but also strict & proffesional ! Already telling friends & family who are looking at driving lessons to consider taking a course with abcdrivertraining

I have recently completed a 7 day driving course with ABC Driver Training and would really recommend them. On deciding to go ahead and take an intensive course I began to search the Internet for options. I came across ABC Driver Training's website and found it to be very professional, informative and honest - they really stressed how intensive the course would be and what type of person it would suit. I also really liked the fact that their courses were 1 to 1, as I didn't like the idea of being paired with another leaner and having to share driving time! Peter (my instructor) was fantastic, he has a great teaching style and really puts you at ease. I learnt so much on the course, it is very intensive and I did find it very tiring, but if you are prepared to put the effort in, it is most definately worth it, as I ended up passing my driving test the first time! Whilst staying in the hotel I met other learner drivers that had booked with other companies and hearing their stories made me pleased that I decided to book with ABC Driver Training. One person failed his theory test and was then unable to be booked in for his practical, one, on the day of her driving test had still not been advised/shown any of the show me/ tell me questions and another ended up having her driving test in Manchester  - yet she had never driven there! I would really recommend ABC and I cannot thank them enough. Kimberley.

 Having had experience of a poor driving instructor in the past the first thing I liked about ABC Driver Training was their helpfulness throughout the process.  I booked myself in for a 6 day course over the christmas period and felt at ease straight away.  Blackpool is a great place to learn to drive and Peter's experience of the test routes was invaluable, it is much less daunting approaching a difficult roundabout if you have had practise of every potential scenario that may arise in your test!  Whilst the first couple of days were very hard and tiring, Peter was always very helpful, he is able to teach you both how to pass the test and how to be a confident driver in the future.  The course is from 9 to 3.30 every day and so you do spend a lot of time in each others company and it is really important that you get on well together, and so i think it is important to say how friendly and approachable Peter is throughout the day which definitely helped me relax and concentrate on passing my test. 
 
Finally, the accommodation i stayed in as part of the package was really nice, they offer home cooked meals in the evening for very reasonable prices, the room was an en-suite with free wifi and a full english breakfast in the morning.
 
Thanks for all of your help Peter and I will not hesitate to recommend you to my friends and family.

Thanks it was great, Mark was really helpful and always gave practical examples of why things are done in a certain order or why they are done at all. This was quite good because I'm the type that needs to visualise things for it to stick so it worked out brilliantly.   

ABC Driver Training course was really useful, they gave me the skills and knowledge I needed to pass my driving test on my first attempt. I did the intensive driving course and it really is a lot better than just driving for 1 or 2 hours a week as you can take what you learned on the previous day and push on from there. They were very professional and helpful all the way through, with an emphasis on safety and as I lived locally, getting picked up and dropped off at home before and after lessons was really convenient.

They will ensure you reach an acceptable level and will book your test for you. Having had lessons elsewhere previously, this course really helped pull together everything I had learned and improved on it. From starting the course to booking and passing my test only took three weeks. I would recommend ABC Driver Training to anyone wishing to pass their driving test quickly and safely.

 

Just a quick message to say thankyou for getting me through my driving test. After taking a couple of lessons back when I was 17 it got to the point 15 years later that I needed to pass my test for work and looked to book an intensive course. Immediately upon searching through google the abc page comes across as professional and honest in how intensive the week will be, none of this guaranteed pass rubbish. If you are looking to book an intensive course then please look no further than peter and tina, they make you feel relaxed in the car and have not just a vast knowledge of the requirements needed to pass but more importantly they enjoy what they do and are passionate about instructing.

Stopping in the hotel for a week gave me first hand experience of some stories of the other intensive driving courses available including two people sharing one car, my answer to you if you were looking to book one of these ( which isnt much cheaper), DONT DO IT!!! In one vehicle one person failed his theory test (Pass this before you book a course!!) so couldnt be booked in for a practical and the other was deemed unsafe by his instructor, and in a second vehicle after the two people had been driving for a week in blackpool, they then had to take their tests in the liverpool and manchester areas respectively, despite never having driven there???? It might seem cheaper on paper but it isnt value for money, you are getting half the driving time and what are you going to benefit from seeing someone in the front stall numerous times, these instructors are after one thing only, your money.

One 2 one Intensive learning isnt for everyone, its a steep learning curve but if you are prepared to put the hardwork in, as peter says the driving test is your chance to show them how good you are. From not driving at all on the saturday morning to the following friday I was a confident and capable driver and got through my test with only two minor faults. I found the whole week thoroughly enjoyable and was more than pleased that I chose ABC Driver Training, I would recommend them to anyone.

But from the get go, Peter made me feel relaxed and most importantly he truly believed in my ability and made me feel confident in myself. By the third day i was very confident, and this was from someone who had not driven for over 5 years!Peter's teaching is spot on and even though i failed my test (reverse round the corner) i feel so confident that i can pass next time. It was definitely still worth it, the training has been invaluable and hopefully i will pass next time.Oh and also, Phil and Gill the owners of the hotel i stayed at were brilliant and really caring. All in all it was a really good learning experience and i picked things up that i have never been taught before. Thanks Peter.

Before beginning the driving course I was unaware what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. My instructor was friendly but firm and I saw confidence and progress in my driving grow everyday. Previous to the course I had little driving ability having not done a lesson for over a year. On completion of a five day course I passed my practical test with just four minor driving mistakes. I would recommend the ABC driving school to anyone if you are willing to learn and want to succeed the help given is well above the average instructor and I thoroughly enjoyed the 5 days!

I cannot say enough good things about Pete and Tina. From the first phone call, Pete understood that I had had quite confidence-sapping lessons before and reassured me that learning to drive didn't have to be like that! I took a 6 day course and passed first time, hooray! I was taught way above what I needed to know to pass my test and, while driving at 70mph was not exactly my favourite part of the week (small understatement), I am glad that I did it before I was out on the road by myself. One thing to consider before you sign up: Pete and Tina might be brilliant, but they can't MAKE you learn - you must really be willing to apply yourself and make it happen. I am walking (driving) proof that it works - even on a total driving non-genius. Thanks again, chaps.

I never, ever thought that I would EVER learn to drive!  I had little confidence and was petrified of everything about being on the road!  I had been with other instructors before and found the experience unproductive.  Your laid back and supportive method of teaching made my dream finally become a reality.  I actually started to enjoy driving and begin to have belief in myself. You care so much about road safety and about your pupils that the title 'driving instructor' does not do you justice.  You are a mentor and a friend and you truly care about your pupils, other people and the society in which we live! Both you and Tina would not accept for one moment that I could not do it and encouraged me to believe in myself and think positively - your encouragement worked and I am so happy that I passed my test.  Learning to drive is the most empowering thing that I have ever done and it has totally transformed my life!.  I will be recommending you to everyone!!!

"I was under pressure to pass my driving test quickly for my job role so I rang ABC Driving Training and was instantly impressed by what Peter had to say about the course.

He gave me no illusions about how hard the course could be for me but I was immediately imbued with confidence by the way Peter spoke passionately about his driving course and his impressive track record. He put me at ease and I knew straight away that I had to do the course with Peter and ABC.

Over the 3-day course Peter rapidly enhanced my driving skills with his exemplary methods of teaching and like no other instructor he drilled into my head the importance of being 2 steps ahead of other drivers to ensure that you drive safely at all times... "think once for yourself and twice for other motorists" (one of Peter's many great quotes!).  Anyway, in the end I passed with only a couple of minors and I can honestly say that I could not have done it without Peter's great tutelage and his array of acronyms that will be forever etched in the memory e.g.the 'KISS' ('Keep It Slow Stupid') principle for manouevres - btw, be prepared for the acronyms as he has them coming out of his ears! :)  So if you are looking to do an intensive course look no further than ABC Driver training".

I came to ABC learner driving, because I was failing to grasp the concepts of driving with my previous instructor, despite having had 60+ driving lessons. Within 3 days, I felt confident enough to take a test, which was booked by the instructor (one thing less to worry about!) Although I didn't pass first time, I learnt more about driving in those 3 days than in the previous year with my former instructor. Eventually, I passed on my 2nd test, prior to which I had an additional day of lessons. I would recommend ABC intensive driving training for those who, like myself, were strapped for time in which to pass their test in, or people who really are struggling to handle getting the gas biting point right or getting their manoeuvres up to scratch, as the car was very easy to drive (being a diesel car), and there were handy little mirrors to make manoeuvring a lot easier than perhaps would be in other vehicles. The lessons were quite expensive, but if you are really struggling to learn to drive with other instructors, you really do get quality for your money. Peter (my instructor) and his wife, Tina, were both very pleasant and encouraging people, and it has been a pleasure learning to drive with them.

Hey good people, i had a very good time with this driving school. My course was for 2 days only and i was very nervous. Peter took me through it, he was so patient with me. I was given up, I thought i wont pass it. I passed with only 4 driving faults. I recommend it to anyone who wants to achieve the driving. Many thanks to Peter and Tina.

I spent three days in August undertaking one of ABC's intensive courses, having not had a lesson for twelve months.  Pete was a great instructor, not just making me feel comfortable and confident, but keeping me entertained with regular stop offs for coffee and nicotine top ups!  I guess I would have been classed as a nervous driver, but Pete's confidence in my abilities worked wonders. I would really recommend training with these guys - excellent teaching, delivered in a relaxed and easy manner - and lovely people at the B&B too.Most importantly, despite a slight attack of 'the Elvis leg' whilst bay parking, I passed!   Been driving now for a couple of months, and I think it's testament to Pete's training that I still hear "looking to go, ready to stop" every time I approach a junction!'  I've already recommended you to a frien    Katy (Chester)

hi this is craig dickinson i recantly sat a two day course with abc driver training and had pete as my instructor i was vey impressed with the standards of the course and the tuition given to my self by peter which enabled me to pass my test with flying colours i would strongley recomend any body wishing to do an intensive course to use abc as ther are strictly based on a 1 2 1 basis and this in tern enables you to get the best value for money i also wish to comment on the hotel good food clean rooms friendly family run hotel and well priced i would recomend any body doing a course in blackpool to take up the accomodation option and even if your are just staying over you will not go far wrong hope you make the right choice and use abc driver training yours sincerely craig dickinson p

Hi, I did a 3 day course with ABC last week and on the 11/12/09 i passed my driving test i had Peter as my instructor although i could drive i had bad habits and low confidence Peter helped me with both of these issues and i passed with only  minor faults i would recommend going with ABC driving school to all my friends and family. Hi my name is Phil Munro.

I have just finished 18 hours of 1 on 1 driving tuition with ABC driver training, with Tina Saunders as my driving instructor and i passed my driving test first time with no faults at all. Having had 20 lessons many moons ago up here in Aberdeen and recently some private tuition from my girlfriend i decided to take a crash course with the experts, after a conversation with Peter about my driving abilities he decided that 18 hours should get me up to test standard. On the morning of my first lesson i was shaking like a leaf on a tree
wondering about my abilities but after a short time Tina quickly got me feeling at ease and before the morning was over had picked up most of my faults, after that it was practise practise practise and twelve driving hours later i sailed through my test. Tina was there at the end of my test and i gave her a big hug and squeeze and thanked her for getting me to that standard.

would just like to say a big thank you to you both, i came on the 2day intensive course in january 2010 after having a car crash in to the back of me accident only 2weeks previous i was a little nervous, i had tina as my instructor and she was great made me feel confident and relaxed and giving me some great advice, i did my driving test on the 2nd day off my course and passed. i would like to thank gill and phil at the delamere hotel the room was great with freeview tv and gill and phil where really friendly and a great help letting me order chinease take away with them and gill cooks a smashing breakfast! all in all i was really happy with my time at abc driving training it was worth every penny and i would recommend them to anyone thanks again tina im now on the road and full off confidence!!

I would highly recommend abc driving school.  Peter got me through my automatic test with the least number of lessons possible, as I had to re-sit my test back in 2004. He was honest with me when I thought I needed more lessons than I did and gave me the confidence to pass 1st time with money left in my pocket!!  I decided in 2009 to try and pass in a manual but to be honest wasn't very confident as when I'd tried when I was younger after many lessons just couldn't get the hang of the gearbox and clutch, therefore took my test in a automatic.  From my 1st lesson in the manual car to passing my test 1st time with only 2 minors was approx 8 weeks.  A Brilliant driving school, with plenty patience and a genuine interest in you passing your test.

Hi Pete and Tina, just a quick note to thank you for all your help in getting me to the standard required for test, the training was relaxed and i always felt comfortable. after the first days driving peter had quickly identified where i needed work and from that point it was practice practice practice. by test day i was more than confident and ready to take the test. peter quickly help me settle the nerves and despite a few blips on the morning and a somewhat dodgy reversing round a corner and the popular elvis leg  i passed with only 8 minor faults and despite what people say the examiner was more than friendly. Also thank you to phil and gill at the delamere hotel for a wonderful stay, clean room and very friendly with a nice hearty breakfast every morning. Thank you all for a wonderful experience.

Thankyou so much for the course I have just taken with you. You are an amazing instructor and I have recomended you to all of my friends and family ... even my mother who has been driving for 25 years would like you to sho her how you paralell park! I did fail my test my only because I forgot to take the car out of reverse before moving away. The rest was better then I thought I could ever have done, so thankyou you really are the best and I will come back to do a day course with you and re-take my test I would not dream of going to anyone else.

Hey Peter and Tina! I really enjoyed the 7 days I spent on the ABC driving intensive course. It fitted in perfectly with the college holidays and was very useful to get driving lessons out of the way. I think it\'s the best way to learn driving, especially as it\'s also 1 to 1. Although I didn\'t pass first time I\'m glad I came back again and passed my second test. You\'re both very friendly people and I would recomend the company to anyone!

I have just returned from taking my first practical driving test and before cracking open the champagne (although be it by mere minutes granted!) felt compelled to write a testimonial regarding my experience. I cannot recommend Pete’s tuition more than enough to anyone who is focused on passing their driving test. After three days –taking my test on the third day, I am extremely pleased to say I passed first time.

 

Pete was a fantastic instructor and taking a course on a one-to-one basis really helped to build that relationship between instructor and pupil -so much so that I’m sure Pete knew exactly what I was thinking before I uttered a word! I was made to feel at ease from the first time I sat in the car and as my knowledge grew so did my confidence. It was an absolute pleasure to have learnt from you Pete; both your passion and devotion to your profession shine through with extreme clarity.

Where can i start... Before finding ABC Driver Training i was with a self-employed Tutor, and spent just under £50 a week on lessons for a long period of time and 2 sets of £200 lessons. Yes i learnt the basics of driving through this Tutor, but not enough too pass my test unfortunately.
Then i started doing some research as to "Crash Courses" and after a considerable ammount of time i found ABC. I paid for the 12 hour 1-2-1 Intense course, and honestly within those 12 hours i learnt so much more than i had in 30 previous hours with a separate instructor. the methods of teaching that peter uses is truly one of a kind, and stuck like glue inside my head. He made me feel comfortable and confident within myself, and as a result i went and passed my test! i couldnt thank Peter enough! he is worth every penny.
Any advice i could give to someone reading this is, Book you're 1-2-1 Tuition with ABC! you won't regret it i promise you, i mean, just look at his pass rates :)

Here is a short paragraph that I think sums up my experience:

The ABC intensive course was definitely one of the best decisions I have ever made, both Peter and Tina were fantastic support and I constantly felt at ease even though I was away from home. Peter was a fantastic instructor, always pushing me to improve my driving and boosting my confidence behind the wheel. The course is great because you get loads of practice on the test routes and you get to know some of the more tricky junctions and roundabouts in the area. Peter was always very patient and explained things really clearly for me, I learned invaluable lessons whilst under his instruction that I am sure will make me a better driver and who knows could one day save my life. This one to one course is definitely worth the money because of the knowledge and experience of the instructors and I would whole heartedly recommend it to any learner driver.
